"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” —Proverbs 3:5-6

This is probably one of the most quoted verses by Christians in all of Scripture. Why is that? Because it is true. When life throws you a curveball and life feels like a tangled mess, our first instinct is to try to "figure it out." We lean on our own understanding, exhausting ourselves by playing out every "what if" scenario. But this word in Proverbs reminds us that our understanding is a shaky foundation.

Trusting God during tough times isn't about ignoring your pain; it’s about shifting your perspective. Instead of relying on your limited view, you can lean on His endless wisdom. When you acknowledge Him—recognizing His sovereignty even when storms surround you—He takes on the hard work of "making your paths straight." You don't need to see the whole journey to trust the One guiding you along the way. He is the perfect GPS in life!

Lord, I humbly admit that I’ve been relying on my own understanding. These circumstances can feel so overwhelming, and at times it’s hard to see the way forward. Today, I wholeheartedly choose to recognize Your mighty power and boundless love. I place my full trust in You, believing that You are guiding and straightening my path, even when it seems crooked. Amen.
