“O God, you know my folly; the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.” — Psalm 69:5
There’s a deep, peaceful joy in being completely understood. For those who believe in Christ, this verse isn’t about judgment but about drawing closer in intimacy. Many of us go through life carefully curated—shaping our public image and hiding our mistakes in the shadows. We worry that if others truly saw our "folly," their acceptance would fade away.
But for those who belong to Him, the mask is already off. Your Heavenly Father isn't surprised by your stumbles or shocked by the "wrongs" you’ve tried to bury. He sees every detour you’ve taken and every mistake you’ve made, yet His posture toward you remains one of unwavering love.
His love is truly a beautiful gift—it’s not something you earn by being wise or perfect. It’s given freely to everyone, including those who feel foolish or flawed. There’s no need to strain yourself trying to hide parts of your heart or earn your way back into His good graces. He already knows everything—the good, the bad, and the ugly—and He’s secured your future through Christ. So, you can relax today, knowing that His kindness is a settled promise, not based on your perfection, but on His faithfulness.
Lord, I thank You for the assurance that I don't have to hide from You. It's comforting to know that even though You see my deepest faults, Your heart is always full of kindness and peace toward me. Please help me to rest peacefully in Your finished work today, and to walk confidently in the freedom of being fully known and fully loved by You. Amen.
Still in Awe of His Love for me,
Gene
